False Embraces

The floating words no longer shine of gold,
so deep beautiful sounds now lie in fear
as before, you're not the one for me to hold,
and your hands cannot dry a lonely tear.

The pain-filled eyes that once caused so much hurt,
have closed and in our silent fury drowned,
lost in love's sweet dream where we lie inert,
unlit thoughts have ceased to echo through the ground.

In lust we sated our desire's passion,
selfishly forgetting love in our greed,
lying here without truth or compassion,
a night of promise that failed to succeed.

The false embraces that revealed no trust,
as dawn approaches the dreams fade to dust.

For Ophelia

57

In blue moonlight where Lady Ophelia drifts
the whispered streams in winter's beauty, her eyes
reflecting starlight vaguely float and fade
quietly to grey.

As the breeze kisses her soft white breasts, she sighs
a zephyr to carry her to sleeping worlds
where soporific trees roam the joyful earth
and a goddess dreams.

The curve of her cherry lips that still the dark
waters of a Bardic heart as a poet
feasts at the perked teat of her inspiration
and suspires the breeze.

By starlit springs that let a bard sail rivers
to the shadow lands with flesh perfumed blooms
and perceptions of ancient dreams fall back to
slumber in her arms.

Three Roses

Roses, a gift from me heart
to show in art I love ye.
Each bloom presents part of me
for nae te see, only thee.

A rose that shines purest white
brin' delight before thine eye.
Spake tae ye of love divine;
I nae define or deny.

A rose of red, crimson hue,
me passion's dew, I love ye,
in words that within this tryst,
ye ken me kiss, ye tease me.

The last rose the hue nae ken,
bud waits for when softest skin
shall touch me heart beneath thee,
ken I love ye, we are yin.
